Where 1800 mm high boundary fencing is used as part of the pool fence under QDC MP 3.4, there is no specific guidance about the extent of the finished ground level on the inside the fence, except that it is shown as level.
While the latest Australian Standard for Swimming Pool Barriers AS1926-2012 has not been adopted in Queensland, it does require a 500 mm clear area on the inside of the fence. We therefore recommend this distance be adopted where an 1800 mm high fence is used.
