Logan City Council have recently changed their requirements for pool backwash.
It is a now a requirement that any swimming pool which uses an aggregate or sand filter must be connected to sewer for the pool backwash.
In order to connect this, Council requires an application for connection to their sewer system (unless the pool is being constructed as part of a new dwelling, where this will be assessed as part of the plumbing approval).
It is the owners responsibility for ensuring this approval is obtained for the connection. Currently Council are not charging a fee for this application, however this may change at Council’s discretion.
Our team can lodge this application to council for a standard Council referral fee, we will just need a site plan showing where the proposed backwash connection is intended.
