New Building Certificates
The government updated building forms from 1 September 2021 as part of the new Building Regulation 2021.
The following forms should now be used by competent persons when providing design or inspection certification.
SINGLE DETACHED CLASS 1A AND CLASS 10 BUILDINGS OR STRUCTURES

| Form 12 – Aspect inspection certificate (Appointed competent person) |
Form 16 – Aspect Certificate/QBCC Licensee Aspect Certificate |
Competent person must give this form to the certifier when inspected work complies. | • Boundary clearances (Surveyor) • Excavation of foundation material (Engineer) • Compaction of fill material (Engineer) • Smoke Alarms (Electrician) |
| Form 15 – Compliance certificate for a building design or specification |
Update to form design only | Competent person must give this form to the certifier for design work. | • Energy efficiency (Assessor) • Structural design (Engineer) • Roof truss |
| Form 43 – Aspect certificate (QBCC licensee) |
Form 16 – Aspect Certificate/QBCC Licensee Aspect Certificate |
QBCC licensee gives this form to the certifier when work complies. | • Cut & fill batters (Licensed builder) • Termite management system (Licensed installer) • Energy efficiency (Licensed builder) • Waterproofing (Licensed installer) |

ATTACHED CLASS 1A (DUPLEX, TOWNHOUSE ETC), CLASS 1B AND CLASSES 2 TO 9 BUILDINGS
