Transport Noise Corridors

Transport Noise Corridor mapping has been updated

The transport noise corridor mapping has been updated for State-controlled roads. These maps are used in conjunction with QDC MP4.4 to ensure habitable rooms are designed and constructed appropriately to reduce noise impacts for occupants.

The updated mapping will change the noise category levels of many dwellings – some will move to a lower category, some will move to a higher category and some will no longer be required to include noise attenuation measures at all.

The mapping changes are effective from 16 November 2016.
