HIA Environment Planning and Development Committee

PCG Director Ain Kuru has been appointed as HIA’s Chair for the Environment Planning and Development Committee.

Ain brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the position, having previously implemented the private certification system, the Queensland Development Code, and fire safety legislation as a result of the Childers fire.

Ain commented that the Committee will continue to advocate on behalf of the industry by providing feedback on legislative changes such as the Building Plan and Planning Act, and maintain the campaign for a single housing code for Queensland.
