From 1 January 2017, the law was changed to require all CPR signs to comply with Guideline 8 as published in January 2016. Unfortunately there are Guideline 8 CPR signs published before this date which are now technically out of date.
The best way to check whether the sign is current is that it requires 30 compressions and 2 breaths. The out of date sign recommends 2 breaths be given prior to compression.
Compliant signs are available for purchase from SPASA.
